Julia Richter is a professional flutist based in Honolulu, Hawai‘i where she is a member of the Royal Hawaiian Band. She also plays regularly with the Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra and the Hawai‘i Opera Theatre. In a past life, Ms. Richter had an active freelance career in both Chicago & Milwaukee areas, performing with many groups including the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra, and as a member with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra and the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra . She has previously held one-year positions as Piccolo/3rd Flute with the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.  Ms Richter was also the Director of Flute Choirs at the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra for several years, and continues to be involved in directing flute choirs here in Hawai‘i with the Hawai‘i Flute Society.
