Eric W.Y. Kop started his employment with the Royal Hawaiian Band in 1988 at the age of 21. He has held positions in the organization as section horn, drum major, supervisor and is currently the band’s principal horn and Assistant Administrator.

Throughout his career, Eric has performed with many of Hawaiʻi’s performance organizations such as the Honolulu and Hawaiʻi Symphonies, Hawaiʻi Opera Theater, the Matt Catingub Orchestra of Hawaiʻi, as well as many of the local theater productions.

As a student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Eric had the privilege of studying Horn under Karl Pituch and trumpet under Dr. Richard Lum.
